ABOUT BGI
BGI is a service oriented voluntary organisation started in 2016 with the objective of helping and empowering the Youths, and the disadvantaged in the community. We intend to enhance the lives of the youths and the disadvantaged through our various initiatives.
VISION
To establish a trust for the purposes of spearheading and coordinating activities to help, the youths and the disadvantaged and source individuals or entities from all over the world willing to participate in developmental projects in Zimbabwe.

Empowerment of Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Zimbabwe

Recently the Pastor has become a trustee of the land from his rural home since all parents are deceased and he now wants the facilities to help communities around it especially the opharns and vulnerable children.
It's an 80 Hactre piece of Land in Shangani 45 km away from Bulawayo. The facilities were last used in November last year the Pastor's mother and a farm manager used the property for chicken facilities, crop production and cattle rearing with cattle still on the farm. The vision is to activate the chicken farm, cattle farm and crops as well as becoming a teaching and training center for Phoenix Hamlet Organic Community Garden training. We are seeking support for a borehole, funding to activate the chicken farm and sponsored educational materials. A $80 donation will help to educate one student. Will you help us?

Pastor Abiot Shumba is the senior and founding Apostle at Grace Christian Church, an international ministry which was founded in Bulawayo Zimbabwe. Abiot has been in full time pastoral ministry since 2005 and He is known for his revelatory and relevant Bible teaching. His passion - to build victorious disciples of Jesus Christ - is the driving force behind his down to earth teaching that is touching thousands of people every day. His creative leadership skills are changing the way church is done worldwide. He is author and has authored seven life changing books. Pastor Abiot Shumba is married to Kathrine and the couple has three boys Addel Michael Jeremy Abiel and David Ruel. He holds a BSc Hons. in ministry from Team Impact University USA. His passion about people and community development has led him to establish the “Building Generational Institutions (BGI) Trust”, an institution which enhances community development in various capacities and focuses mainly on the Youths and vulnerable . The career initiative “project pass your o’ level” and the “family favor initiative” which looks after orphans, widows and the elderly are some of the community projects which have been undertaken by this institution.
Pastor Abiot is married to Kathrine and the couple Have three boys Adel Michael Jeremy Abiel and David Ruael . He holds a BSc Hons.in ministry and a Master’s degree in Apostolic ministry from Team Impact University USA. |
Cathrine Shumba

Cathrine Shumba is a Social scientist and Trustee for Building Generational Institutions Development Trust. She graduated from Zimbabwe Open University with a Bsc Honours Degree in Psychology.
She is a Senior Pastor at Grace Christian Church. Cathrine is married to Pastor Abiot Shumba. She is passionate about gender issues and the inclusion of Women in Development Projects. She is an accomplished mentor for the Girl Child and a family builder in the Ministry. She is a gifted Counsellor and Administrator. |
Mutadzo Jabson
BGI Trustee |
Mutadzo Jabson is a Social scientist and Trustee of Building Generational Institutions Development Trust. He graduated from Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) with a Bsc Degree in Rural Development and Sociology.
He is an Elder for Grace Christian Church and Head of Legal Research for the international Ultimate Labour Association (IULA) an association that advises in labour management for investors in Africa where he is also a trustee for the Association. Jabson is also a board memberfor Sound Prosperity Zimbabwe Foundation a foundation running a community education initiative on the use of Crypto currency with a membership of 30,000 participants. The foundation believes each project; each dream can become true through commerce. He has a wealth of experience in promotion of participation of local communities in projects, engaging government and local authorities in development projects and identification of development needs for local communities. He is a project writer, financial negotiator and deal maker. He has a great passion to see young people realising their dreams through socioeconomic contribution to the economies of their countries. |
