UPLIFTING THE FUTURE OF UGANDA
|
Phoenix Voyage is thrilled to be partnered with CAUCommunity Agenda Uganda (CAU) started in June 2011 and registered as a community based organization in 2013 by community workers, who identified the need to volunteer in service delivery of marginalized communities due to the community challenges of unsustainable agriculture practice and land management, increased number of unsupported orphans and other vulnerable children, poor community livelihood, poor sanitation and hygiene, unemployment result in poverty and dependence which might result in drug abuse and loose sexual behavior, hence increase in HIV/AIDS prevalence and lastly lack of saving culture in the community which promoted poverty.

Katogo Village, Mukono District
All students are orphans or from disadvantaged families.
Total as of Feb 2018 - 110 children - ages 4 - 10 There are several schools in the community~ however care takers of these orphans can't afford to pay the local school fee... most people here can't even afford a meal a day. This school is a model of change to give these children an education, rather than leave them isolated.
